🧾 Tax Refund (VAT Refund) – Non-EU ResidentsUpdated 6 hours ago

👉 Are you a foreign resident eligible for tax refund?

If you are a non-EU resident (or a French expatriate registered abroad) and have your order delivered in France, you may be eligible for a VAT refund (20%) when exporting the goods outside the European Union.

This is possible under specific conditions outlined below.


✅ Conditions to qualify

You must:

  1. Have your usual residence outside the European Union
  2. Make a purchase of at least €175 incl. VAT (excluding shipping and services)
  3. Have your order delivered in France or collect it in our shop in Chamonix
  4. Leave France with the goods and validate your tax refund form via:
    • a PABLO terminal, or
    • a customs office

⚠️ French overseas territories (DOM: Guadeloupe, Martinique, Guyana, Réunion, Mayotte, etc.) are not eligible for tax refund.


⚙️ How does it work?

  1. When placing your order, request a tax refund form when selecting your delivery address and complete the required form.
  2. Once your order is confirmed and paid, we will email you the list of documents required to issue a PABLO tax refund form (France’s electronic tax refund system).
  3. Required documents:
    • Foreign travelers: valid passport
    • French nationals abroad: valid passport + consular registration certificate
  4. The PABLO form is sent within 24 hours after shipment
  5. Before the end of the third month following issuance, validate your form:
    • at a PABLO terminal (over 100 available), or
    • at a customs office if no terminal is available
  6. If validated manually, send us the original stamped document by post
  7. Once validated, we process your refund within 15 days
  8. Refund is issued via the same payment method used for the order

⚠️ Important notes

  • Requesting tax refund may delay shipment
  • Required documents must be sent within 48 hours
  • The request must be made at the time of order
  • The invoice and tax refund form must be issued on the same day
  • You must request the tax refund before payment

❌ Not eligible for tax refund

The following are excluded:

  • Residents of EU countries (list includes all EU Member States)
  • Residents of Monaco
  • Individuals relocating permanently within or outside the EU
  • Diplomatic or international organization staff
  • Students or interns staying in the EU more than 6 months/year
  • Residents of French overseas territories
  • Transport personnel traveling for work

⚠️ Customs may cancel your tax refund if conditions are not met.
In such cases, no refund will be possible.


📌 Additional conditions

  • The person carrying the goods must be the buyer
  • Goods must be new and unused
  • Billing address must be outside the EU, delivery in France
  • If PABLO terminals are unavailable, you must go to a customs office
  • Only original stamped documents are accepted
  • Deadline to submit documents: 6 months after purchase

⏱️ How long do I have to validate the form?

You have 3 months after issuance to validate it at customs.
After that, no refund is possible.


💰 How much will I be refunded?

The refund corresponds to the VAT on goods only.
Shipping and service fees are excluded.
A €15 processing fee is deducted.


💳 When will I be refunded?

Once customs validation is confirmed (automatic via PABLO),
the refund is processed within 3 to 4 weeks via bank transfer.
